Provides independent third‐ party technical review/ survey verification approval for DP/ PM Systems with Emergency Shutdown (ESD) & Emergency Disconnect Systems (EDS) : The following standards are utilized in our survey verification scope .  Per 30 CFR 250 .416 the design review must be conducted in  accordance with the Original Equipment Manufact urer (OEM) specification and 250.446 (a) and other applicable standards . AIMS Offshore has established the following as key reference standards in the systems and controls area: CFR, API RP 53, API 16D, 30 CFR 250, API RP 75, DNV/ ABS Classification, IEEE 828, IEC    61508, IEC 17799 & all IMCA DP/ PM applicable sections/ requirements;
Purpose:
To confirm that:
a)  The Dynamic Positioning System will operate as originally designed and maintain reliable service capibility .
b)  Any modifications or upgrades to the DP/ PM System conducted at any time (or after delivery) have not compromised the design or operation of the position keeping capibilities .
c)  Conformance to Class Standards .

Typical Scope of Work Instructions:
1. Prepare Surveyor (or inspection team) for deployment; provide copies of inspection data sheet to participants.
2. Communicate inspection plans to all impacted.
3. Review JSA as necessary.
4. Request support of either a competent Vessel/ Rig ET or RSM or OEMTech.
5. Brief vessel/ rig staff as requested and at completion.
6. It is advisable to confirm printerstatus on data logger, and save off prior logs, then request a clean cue to support documentation of testing activities. Note with marker start and stop times of key function testing and observe the results on the printout. If there are anomalies noted, we will highlight for reference to Recommendation Summary.
7. All test equipment utilized during testing should be reviewed for calibration and proper function. Correctscale setting should also be confirmed prior to testing.
8. Surveyor/ Consultant will follow work procedure and expand as appropriate to address any integration points or dependencies between othersystems. It will be noted additional areas inspected to related work procedure if required, as well as comments.
9. XUYANG OCEAN Office HQ will Coordinate with Marine Assurance Surveyor/ Consultant to ensure electronics portions of Acceptance Test Procedures(ATP) are consistent with S&C findings.
10. Debrief compliance team at XUYANG OCEAN HQ and complete documentation.
11. Review priorsurvey verification report and rec/sum for resolution of recommendations. All of our work procedures includes Daily Report, Final Report and Recommendations Summary. If instructed, we can Implement data analytics survey verification within final report ‐ Saving Time for Decision Makers.
